With the few Message boards around, Patrick Clinger decided to make something better with more features and useability. And so in September of 1999, he started coding his Message Board. Finally, on January 1 2000, Proboards was launched. It was a 'Threaded' system, switching to YABB just over a year later. then he developed Version 2, which was a complete rewrite of the software, turning it into what you now see (Categories and Boards) With each new version, new features were added, There is a complete list for each version linked in the above menubar. |
